When food lovers come to Austin, they come to enjoy the creations
of Shoreline Grill's Executive Chef, Dan Haverty. Under Chef Dan's
direction, our menu utilizes inherent flavors in food and enhances
them with Southwestern ingredients like dried and fresh chiles
and herbs. It's a way of adding a new Texas twist to classical
preparations.
In 1997, Dan's creative culinary skills were recognized by a
team of judges for the Chef's Challenge for Beef, sponsored during
the Texas Hill Country Wine and Food Festival by the Texas Beef
Council. Haverty's winning recipe features a bone-in tenderloin.
By virtue of his first place award, Haverty was a a guest chef
at the James Beard Foundation in New York in January 1998.
Chef Dan has been with Shoreline Grill for sixteen years. He
previously had been a saute Chef at the Locke-Ober Cafe in Boston,
MA. He also has been the host chef for the 1996 and 1997 Share
Our Strength benefit dinner held at Shoreline Grill.
Food lovers also enjoy the delicious creations of Shoreline Grill's
pastry chef as well. Make sure to leave room for some of the wonderful
desserts that she creates.
